Match Tips

Hurriances 1-12

This will be a tight contest, with the Stormers likely to be very disappointed with their efforts last start. One thing we learned is they cannot do without their inspirational skipper Duane Vermuelen, who was rested last week. The Stormers should have the edge in the set piece, but I expect the Canes to continue their winning ways.

Match Tips

Reds 1-12

Both sides have come off another disappointing loss last start after expectations were raised. I expect the Rebels to lift with Lopeti Timani back from injury, but I also expect the Reds team to be better this week with Gill and Hunt coming back into the squad, and with the additional game time for their injured players last week.

Match Tips

Chiefs 1-12

Another week has past and the Blues remain winless. While they will push the Chiefs in this local derby, I cannot see them winning on recent form away from home.

Match Tips

Cheetahs +14

The Brumbies come off a bye week and will need to make sure they are not complacent against the lowly placed Cheetahs, who have the ability to surprise while touring. This is a must win home game for the Brumbies.

Match Tips

Crusaders 13+

The Sharks will be pleased with their recent form, while the Crusaders will be wondering just how they were outplayed last week by the Bulls after their recent strong form. With a few key players out, I expect the Sharks will be easier pickings for the Crusaders, who will be looking to lift.

Match Tips

Bulls 1-12

This local derby will be a tight affair, with both sides confident following recent wins. The Cheetahs will be weary after travelling home from their long tour, and I feel the Bulls will be targeting this match as a must win on South African soil, before they head south on the tour of Australia & New Zealand. The Bulls physicality should help them defeat the tired Lions.
