Round 7 of the NRL winds up tonight night when the resurgent Sharks  host the Rabbitohs  at Remondis Stadium.

On match day,Tattsbet customers have launched into Souths, backing battered Bunnies to get the job done. The premiers opened at $1.63 in the H2H market, but a series of big bets has well and truly wiped that out. Today alone, there have been seven $1,000 bets, one $1,300 wager, a $1,200 investment, an $877 go and a $700 bet, as well as a series of smaller nibbles. At the same time, the biggest wager on the Sharks has been $400, and the boys from the Shire have drifted as severely as one of their off-shore gales.

Riding the crest of back-to-back victories, Cronulla will miss suspended prop Andrew Fafita. The big guy made 240 metres and 29 tackles in 60 minutes last week. And now, they'll be minus inspirational captain Paul Gallen who has succumb to a painful hip injury.

The late mail also reckons Souths centre Dylan Walker will return from a hand injury tonight, and former captain John Sutton might also be a last minute inclusion.

That goes a long way to explaining why punters have splurged on a team which has lost two of its last three matches instead of a side chasing three straight victories!
