Crusaders 1-12

This will no doubt be the match of the round between these two fierce rivals. It will be played fast and hard, and the team that wins the physical contest, will come out in front. Recent history and form between the two has the Chiefs in front, but I will lean the way of the former champion Crusaders outfit which will be looking to bounce back after fading badly last week. It will be close though.

Hurricanes 1-12

The Hurricanes come back from a much needed bye and will be looking to keep their unbeaten record in tact, especially playing at home. The Waratahs, however, are not looking like defending champions with some soft performances of late. The visitors do have the players who can match the Canes' physicality, but playing in New Zealand against the competition leaders will be tough.

Value Bet

Blues '1st Team to Score'

#HIGvBLU

Another New Zealand derby which will be a tight affair regardless of their contrasting positions on the ladder. The Blues will feel the weight of the world off their shoulders after a first up win last week and will be better for the pressure release. I do, though, feel consistency and a home ground advantage will carry the Highlanders to victory.

Rebels Try '1st Scoring Play'

#BRUvREB

The Rebels are certainly not the easy beats they once were and so the Brumbies will need to be careful they don’t take them lightly. While the Brumbies have a few injury concerns, I feel they will have too much class and be better drilled. The home side should claim the points here, but will need to turn up to play.

Stormers

Value Bet

Stormers 13+

#FORvSTO

The Western Force are hoping Captain Matt Hodgson is back from injury this week to help them salvage their season. While they are a much better side at home, I am expecting the in form Stormers will continue their ruthlessly winning ways.

Sharks v Bulls

Match Tips

Head-to-Head

Bulls

Value Bet

Bulls 13+

#SHAvBUL

After a promising start to the season the wheels have fallen off for the Sharks over recent weeks, with injuries and suspensions compounded by the recent losses. At home, though, they will certainly lift, but I don’t feel it will be enough to counter the Bulls in this local derby.

Cheetahs Logo

Cheetahs v Reds

Sunday, 3:10am (AEST)

Reds Logo

Match Tips

Head-to-Head

Reds

Value Bet

Reds 1-12

#CHEvRED

This will at least be a tough match between these two lowly-placed sides. The Reds will be hoping to claim the points here, but will need to be desperate against a Cheetahs outfit which can be a 15-20 point better side at home. The referee and momentum will see the home side scoring frequently in what should be a high scoring clash. I do, though, see this as being the Reds best chance for a win of late and will pick them for an upset.
