“Are my eyes playing tricks on me?” asked X Lotto winner

A local man from the Poochera area had to check his eyes weren’t playing tricks on him after checking his ticket to discover he had all six winning numbers in Saturday’s X Lotto $21 Million Superdraw.

The shocked winner confessed to a SA Lotteries official that he had to check his ticket more than a couple of times before he let himself start to believe that he was $1,615,384.62 richer!

“It’s a bit unreal at the moment. The news is still sinking in,” the shocked winner said.

“Needless to say my family are all very excited with my win and the first thing I’ll be doing is sharing some of the prize money with them.”

The registered winning entry was sold at Newspower Streaky Bay, 5 Bay Road in Streaky Bay.

Family birthdays prove a winner for Athelstone family

The birth dates of a family from the Adelaide suburb of Athelstone will be even more special now after they won the family a division one X Lotto prize worth $1,615,384.62 in the weekend’s $21 Million Superdraw.

The regular players said they had been using family birth dates as their lucky X Lotto numbers for years.

“We’ve always had a feeling we would win big. Whenever we would drive past a nice house we liked I would say to my family that one day we’ll be able to buy that house,” the winning wife told a SA Lotteries official.

“We’re going to make sure we make the most of our prize. First we’re going to let the news sink in and then we’ll buy a family home and invest the rest for our future.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

The unregistered winning marked System 7 entry was sold at Dernancourt Newsagency, Shop 2, 840 Lower North East Road in Dernancourt.
