The Wests Tigers and South Sydney will continue one of the game’s oldest rivalries when they go head-to-head on Sunday.

This time last year, South Sydney underestimated a young Tigers side and were blown away 25-16. They will not make that same mistake again. So far this season, the Rabbitohs have justified the tag of Premiership favourites . Against the Broncos in Round 1, they were ruthless, demolishing Brisbane 36-6. Then last week against the Roosters, the Bunnies proved they never switch off, coming from behind to win 34-26. Adam Reynolds again pushed for Origin selection, finishing with four tackle breaks, two line breaks and a try assist. John Sutton has been ruled out for six weeks with a broken jaw, with Cameron McInnes his likely replacement.

The Tigers shouldn't get ahead of themselves, even though they are one of only four undefeated teams so far this season. In their performances against both the Titans and the Dragons, they seemed to play for only one half. In Round 1, they came from behind to secure a thrilling 19-18 victory over brave Titans. Then last week against the Dragons, thanks mainly to fullback James Tedesco , the 'Tiges' started strongly, before falling away in the second half. Dally M leader Aaron Woods has been the best forward in the game by far, totalling 477 running metres and 65 tackles in just two games. Matt Lodge is on the bench after serving a week's suspension for disciplinary reasons, with rookie Lamar Liolevave named 18th man.

Every time these two teams face off, there are fireworks. Last year it finished a game apiece, but this week, the Bunnies look the more likely given the form they're in. TattsBet customers are also confident South Sydney can do it easy this weekend, with the Rabbitohs at 13+ the most popular bet.
