Instant Scratch-Its winner can’t believe that lightning has struck twice!

Tuesday 17 March 2014 - A man from the Townsville area admits to staring at his hands in disbelief after discovering that he had won the $10,000 top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its $1 ticket!

The winner, who has previously won $500,000 on Instant Scratch-Its tickets, said he couldn’t believe that he had won a top prize again in uncanny circumstances!

“I had just arrived at the shops and I was momentarily distracted by an ambulance. As I was walking, I stood on a $1 coin – right outside my local newsagency!” the winner explained.

“I saw it as a sign so I picked up the coin and purchased the Instant Scratch-Its $1 ticket, because it looked calm and peaceful and was positioned snugly in the middle!

“I walked back to my car and scratched the ticket and just sat there looking at the ticket in shock. They say lightning doesn’t strike twice but, as a previous top prize winner, it certainly has in my case!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, plans on spending his windfall on his children and has some wise words of advice for regular Instant Scratch-Its players.

“There is no better feeling than sharing your wins, so I’m going to spend this money purely on the kids!

“Somebody has to win the top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket so you really have to be in it to win it!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Gumvale Store at Shop 5, 981 Riverway Drive in Rasmussen.

It could happen in an instant. It can happen to you.
