Syndicate celebrates $1 million Wednesday Gold Lotto win!

Tuesday 10 March 2015 - A syndicate of five people who purchased their Wednesday Gold Lotto ticket in the Townsville suburb of Kirwan will share $1 million after winning first division in last week’s draw.

The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, only discovered at the weekend that their Wednesday Gold Lotto entry had won the $1 million division one prize.

“One of the syndicate members finally checked our ticket on Saturday afternoon and realised we’d won!” the syndicate leader exclaimed.

“We’ve only been playing this entry together for about four weeks so it’s unbelievable!

“We all picked a few numbers each and filled out a coupon. When one of the syndicate members went to buy our entry at an outlet, they were told that we were missing a number in one of the games. So they chose to add the number four and that game was the one that ended up winning division one!”

The winning 14-game marked entry was purchased at Parkside News and Casket Agency, Shop 3 in Parkside Gardens Shopping Centre, 148 Bamford Lane in Kirwan.

This is the second big win in less than six months for Parkside News and Casket Agency which sold a $3.3 million division one winning entry in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3461 on 20 September 2014.

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division prize in Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3431, which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw. Along with the winning ticket sold in Queensland, the other winning ticket was purchased in Victoria.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3431 on Wednesday 4 March 2015 were 1, 32, 4, 26, 45 and 29, with the supplementary numbers 36 and 24.
