Since changing their name from Heart to City, there’s only been two editions of the Melbourne Derby, but if they’re anything to go by, expect another blockbuster. When the two sides met for the first time this season, fans saw it all; great strikes, a red card and a whole lot of goals. Seven goals, in fact, as the Victory ran out 5-2 winners. With both sides occupying spots in the top six, this will be another hotly contested affair. Besart Berisha netted a hat-trick back in his first Melbourne Derby, and he features in TattsBet’s special offer ahead of Saturday’s clash.

When Arsenal and Tottenham clash, fans are always treated to end-to-end football. The North London Derby is a contest where the better attacking side usually walk away with the three points, however recent fixtures have been dominated by the backlines. All past four matches have produced either two goals or less , with Arsenal winning three and drawing the most recent one. Tottenham, however, have the all-important advantage of playing at White Hart Lane, and with Alexis Sanchez ruled out with a hamstring injury, they could be good value in the head-to-head market.

Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid

Vicente Calderon Stadium, Madrid

Arguably the biggest local derby in Spain, the significance of the Madrid Derby has grown since the rise of current La Liga champions Atletico. In a match-up that Real dominated for so long, the richest club in the world have won just one of the past seven derbies. Although four of those matches have ended in stalemates, including three 1-1 draws, Diego Simeone has done an incredible job to turn the tides in the Spanish capital. Atletico fell agonisingly short to completing an unprecedented La Liga/UCL double at the hands of Real last season, and revenge will be the motive come Sunday morning.

The final major derby of the weekend sees Everton host Liverpool in 224th Merseyside Derby. Dating back to the late 1800’s, this is one of the longest standing derbies in world football. From the pitch to the stands, not many other matches have the intensity and passion when the Reds and Toffees meet. This is likely to be the final Merseyside Derby Steven Gerrard will compete in after he announced he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. The 34-year-old has been the face of Liverpool for the better part of two decades, and he wouldn’t want anything more than to sign off with a goal.
