19-year-old Super Black driver Andre Heimgartner is the youngest in series.

The new model Ford Falcon FG X makes its racing debut at the Clipsal 500.

Wilson Security GRM Volvo driver David Wall  will celebrate his 50th V8 Supercars Championship round start in Adelaide.

2011 Bathurst winner Nick Percat will start his 50th V8SC race for his new Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport team in the season opener on the Saturday.

Jamie Whincup has won the Clipsal 500 times - 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011.

Garth Tander (2000 & 2010) and Marcus Ambrose (2004 & 2005) are both dual round winners in Adelaide.

HRT has won more Clipsal 500s (six) than any other team in the event’s history and holds the record for most race wins (175) and pole positions (89) in ATCC/V8SC history.

Chaz Mostert has the most recent race form winning the Amor All Supertest Shootout at Sydney Motorsport Park three weeks ago, finishing ahead of Shane van Gisberbgen and James Courtney .

Craig Lowndes and Garth Tander make their 17th appearance in Adelaide, thus becoming the only drivers to have competed in every Clipsal 500 since it began back in 1999.

Red Bull Racing Australia is chasing history – to become the first organisation to claim the Team’s Championship six years in a row.

All bar one of the 10 winners in the Clipsal 500 over the last 16 years will be on the grid in 2015. The only one missing is Mark Skaife.
