FC Schalke 04  host Real Madrid  in the UEFA Champions League clash on Thursday morning (AEST) and have revenge on their minds.

Last year, Real Madrid smashed them 9-2 on aggregate on their way to Champions League glory. The German side reckon the Spanish giants are not 'unbeatable' and that manager Roberto Di Matteo has devised tactics to topple the champions.

Schalke 04 are currently fourth in the Bundesliga, 18 points behind runaway leaders, Bayern Munich. Their form is mixed, losing just once in their last five outings, with two wins and two draws. However, they must regroup following a disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of mid-table team, Eintracht Frankfurt.

On the other hand, Real have won six of their past eight matches, with their only loss in this period a 4-0 hammering by Athletico in the Madrid derby 10 days ago. The La Liga super club heads into this clash after a 2-0 win over Peportiva De La Coruna in the Primera Division, which they currently lead by a point Barcelona.

Real Madrid are on a run of 19 straight victories in the Champions League, and even though superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has scored just three goals in 2015 after finding the net 25 times in the first 15 games of the season, they should have too much firepower for S04.
