Port Macquarie's $1 million Halloween Superdraw prize claimed!

Tuesday 3 November 2015 - Even before today’s big race has been run and won, a NSW Lotteries player is already celebrating after discovering their entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto $20 Million Superdraw scored a $1 million first division prize!

The new millionaire, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, has come forward to NSW Lotteries to claim their first division share from the weekend’s Halloween Superdraw.

The winning 24-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Plaza Newsagency, Shops 3 and 4 in Palm Court Centre, 14 Short Street in Port Macquarie.

Chris and Fiona Genders are the owners of Plaza Newsagency and said they were thrilled that their outlet had sold another first division winning ticket.

“It’s been a little more than twelve months since we sold a $1 million winning Monday and Wednesday Lotto ticket so we felt that we were due for another big win,” Mr Genders said.

“In fact, my wife jokingly said on Friday that we needed to make some room in our store for a new division one winning outlet banner!

“Now that we’ve had this division one win our confidence is sky-high! We’re hoping that lightning will strike twice and our outlet can sell another first division winning ticket in either tonight’s $25 million Oz Lotto draw or Thursday’s $50 million Powerball draw!”

Throughout Australia, there were 20 entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw on Saturday 31 October, each worth $1 million. There were five winning entries from New South Wales, another division one winning entry was purchased in the ACT, three were from Queensland, six from Victoria, two in Tasmania, one was sold in South Australia and two were purchased in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3577 on Saturday 31 October 2015 were 20, 10, 19, 37, 14 and 27 with the supplementary numbers of 29 and 13.

There’s a combined jackpot of $75 million on offer this week!

NSW Lotteries customers will have the chance to share in a massive $75 million in first division prize money this week with two games jackpotting!

The excitement starts with tonight’s $25 million Oz Lotto draw followed by Powerball’s out-of-this-world $50 million jackpot draw on Thursday.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said this week would be massive with such an enormous amount of prize money up for grabs.

“We expect the level of interest and excitement from our players will be extremely high. Hopefully we will be making a few phone calls to some excited new millionaires or even multi-millionaires this week,” Ms McDougall said.

“At times when we have such a huge amount of prize money on offer we often see staff at NSW Lotteries outlets run off their feet with players rushing in to purchase their entries.”

Ms McDougall also offered some valuable advice to lottery players taking part in this week’s big draws.

“When purchasing lottery tickets our advice is to always register them to a Players Club card. It is an important step that will protect players from missing out on prizes and also should they win one of the big prizes on offer this week, NSW Lotteries will contact them with the good news.”
