The winning man from Hawthorn said he was glad he got the phone call today from a Tatts Official to break the dream-come-true news.

“Oh dear, I’m glad you called because if I had checked my ticket in store I probably would have collapsed at the counter,” he laughed.

“You’ve given me goose bumps and the shakes!

“I bought a ticket in the Halloween Superdraw just for the hell of it! I thought you never know do you?

“I’ve always said I’d be happy to win a million – it’s perfect, I mean who needs more?”

When asked what he would do with his windfall the happy winner had a few ideas up his sleeve.

“I always used to watch ‘Getaway’ and saw all these beautiful places in Australia that I’ve never been to before and would love to visit. Australia is such a big place and it would be great to explore my own country!” he exclaimed.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his System 7 entry from Kew Authorised Newsagency from 175 High Street in Kew.

John Hanna is the owner of Kew Authorised Newsagency and said he’d like to pass on his congratulations to the new millionaire.

“Our customers have loved hearing the news that a local customer is $1 million richer!” he exclaimed.

“They treat this store like their own and so they’ve been thrilled for us – even jumping with joy!

“We took over the business four years ago and this is our first division one winning customer in that time. We did it!!” he beamed.

There were 20 division one winning entries across Australia who each collect a share worth $1,000,000 in TattsLotto’s $20 Million Halloween Superdraw. There’s a combined jackpot of $75 million on offer this week!

Victorians will have the chance to share in a massive $75 million in first division prize money this week with two games jackpotting!

The excitement starts with tonight’s Oz Lotto draw with $25 million jackpot up for grabs which will be followed by Powerball’s out-of-this-world $50 million jackpot draw on Thursday.

Tatts spokesperson Claire Taylor said this week would be massive with such an enormous amount of prize money up for grabs.

“We expect the level of interest and excitement from our players will be extremely high. Hopefully we will be making a few phone calls to some excited new Victorian millionaires or even multi-millionaires this week,” Ms Taylor said.

“At times when we have such a huge amount of prize money on offer we often see our Tatts outlet staff run off their feet with players rushing in to buy their entries.”

Ms Taylor also offered some valuable advice to lottery players taking part in this week’s big draws.

“When purchasing lottery tickets our advice is to always register them to a Tatts card. It is an important step that will protect players from missing out on prizes and also should they win one of the big prizes on offer this week, Tatts will contact them personally to advise them of their good fortune.”
