Halloween scream for Townsville division one winner!

Monday 2 November 2015 - A Townsville man had a frightfully good Halloween after his entry in Saturday Gold Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw won a division one share worth $1 million!

The retiree admitted it felt a little spooky after a Golden Casket official confirmed that he was now a millionaire following the Halloween Superdraw.

“Geez! It feels like this is happening to someone else not me!” the excited winner exclaimed.

“Well somebody up there is looking after me! You know they are just random numbers that I’ve played for some time but I can honestly say that they’re now very special numbers to me.

“Life will go on as normal but this windfall will make such a difference to my life and my family’s life. I can start to make some positive plans and spend more time with my family.”

The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

The division one winning 18-game marked entry was purchased from Willows Newsagency, Shop 48 in Willows Shopping Centre, Herveys Range and Thuringowa Drive in Kirwan.

Throughout Australia, there were 20 entries that won a first division share of Saturday Gold Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw on Saturday 31 October, each worth $1 million. Apart from the division one winning entry from North Queensland, two other first division winning entries were from Queensland, five were sold in New South Wales, one in the ACT, six in Victoria, two in Tasmania, one from South Australia and two were purchased in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3577 on Saturday 31 October 2015 were 20, 10, 19, 37, 14 and 27 with the supplementary numbers of 29 and 13.

There’s a combined jackpot of $75 million on offer this week!

Queenslanders will have the chance to share in a massive $75 million in first division prize money this week with two games jackpotting!

The excitement starts with tomorrow night’s Oz Lotto draw with $25 million jackpot up for grabs which will be followed by Powerball’s out-of-this-world $50 million jackpot draw on Thursday.

Golden Casket spokesperson Belinda McDougall said this week would be massive with such an enormous amount of prize money up for grabs.

“We expect the level of interest and excitement from our players will be extremely high. Hopefully we will be making a few phone calls to some excited new Queensland millionaires or even multi-millionaires this week,” Ms McDougall said.

“At times when we have such a huge amount of prize money on offer we often see Golden Casket outlet staff run off their feet with players rushing in to purchase their entries.”

Ms McDougall also offered some valuable advice to lottery players taking part in this week’s big draws.

“When purchasing lottery tickets our advice is to always register them to a Winners Circle card. It is an important step that will protect players from missing out on prizes and also should they win one of the big prizes on offer this week, Golden Casket will contact them with the good news.”
