Friends share $1 million division one prize in Superdraw!

Monday 2 November 2015 - There were plenty of Halloween screams heard in Kingscliff at the weekend after a group of twelve friends won a first division share in Saturday Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw!

A NSW Lotteries official spoke with the syndicate leader today to confirm their shared entry had won division one and other divisional prizes totalling $1,024,626.40.

“We’ve been playing lotto together for about 12 year now,” the syndicate leader explained.

“When I checked our entry on Sunday morning and realised we’d won first division, I called everyone in the syndicate to tell them the great news! That was the best job in the world – their reactions were fantastic!

“We had a few beers yesterday afternoon to celebrate our first division win!

“I’m not too sure what everyone will do with their share of the prize money but I know it will come in very handy for everyone.”

The winning entry was purchased at Kingscliff Newsagency, 96 Marine Parade in Kingscliff.

Throughout Australia, there were 20 entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw on Saturday 31 October, each worth $1 million. There were five winning entries from New South Wales, another division one winning entry was purchased in the ACT, three were from Queensland, six from Victoria, two in Tasmania, one was sold in South Australia and two were purchased in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3577 on Saturday 31 October 2015 were 20, 10, 19, 37, 14 and 27 with the supplementary numbers of 29 and 13.

There’s a combined jackpot of $75 million on offer this week!

NSW Lotteries customers will have the chance to share in a massive $75 million in first division prize money this week with two games jackpotting!

The excitement starts with tomorrow night’s Oz Lotto draw with $25 million jackpot up for grabs which will be followed by Powerball’s out-of-this-world $50 million jackpot draw on Thursday.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said this week would be massive with such an enormous amount of prize money up for grabs.

“We expect the level of interest and excitement from our players will be extremely high. Hopefully we will be making a few phone calls to some excited new millionaires or even multi-millionaires this week,” Ms McDougall said.

“At times when we have such a huge amount of prize money on offer we often see staff at NSW Lotteries outlets run off their feet with players rushing in to purchase their entries.”

Ms McDougall also offered some valuable advice to lottery players taking part in this week’s big draws.

“When purchasing lottery tickets our advice is to always register them to a Players Club card. It is an important step that will protect players from missing out on prizes and also should they win one of the big prizes on offer this week, NSW Lotteries will contact them with the good news.”
