$1 million Monday Gold Lotto win in Cloncurry!

Tuesday 20 October 2015 - A Cloncurry woman admitted she liked the idea of being referred to as a millionaire after winning first division in last night’s Monday Gold Lotto draw.

The winner said she realised she’d won $1 million in Monday Gold Lotto when she checked her entry after the draw last night.

“I got excited when I realised I had all the winning numbers but I wouldn’t let myself get too excited until my first division win was confirmed by Golden Casket today!” the winner exclaimed.

“Last night after I checked my entry, I burst into tears and just started crying tears of joy. I had so much trouble getting to sleep - I don’t think I got to sleep until 1am!

“I’ll admit I really like the sound of being called a millionaire! I’ve worked really hard all my life so I feel like I deserve this,” the winner jokingly added.

The new millionaire said it’s too early to say what she’ll do with her Monday Gold Lotto windfall.

The first division winning Monday Gold Lotto entry was purchased from Chaplain’s Newsagency, corner of King and Ramsay Streets in Cloncurry.

Kaylene Chaplain is the manager of Chaplain’s Newsagency and said they were thrilled when they discovered they’d sold a $1 million division one winning ticket.

“We’re over the moon! This is a wonderful boost to the entire community. It’s so nice to have some positive news!” Mrs Chaplain exclaimed.

“We want to congratulate our customer on winning first division and we wish them all the very best for the future.”

Throughout Australia, it was the only entry that won first division in Monday Gold Lotto, which offers a guaranteed $1 million division one prize for up to four winners in every draw.

The winning numbers in Monday Gold Lotto draw 3496 on Monday 19 October 2015 were 25, 34, 30, 28, 24 and 15 with the supplementary numbers of 21 and 16.

There are more chances to win big this week with $10 million up for grabs in tonight’s Oz Lotto draw and Powerball has jackpotted to a massive $15 million in Thursday’s draw. Tickets are available at any Golden Casket outlet or online via Tatts.com.
