Monday Lotto winner's $1 million New Year's surprise!

Tuesday 6 January 2015 - A Fairfield Heights grandmother has got her year off to a great start after winning a first division prize of $1 million in last night’s Monday Lotto draw!

The ecstatic winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was unaware she’d become a Monday Lotto millionaire overnight until a NSW Lotteries official broke the life-changing news to her this morning.

“Oh God bless you! What a lovely thought. I’m numb!” the delighted winner exclaimed.

“I had a dreadful year last year so how wonderful that 2015 has already become a great year!

“I’ve got a lot of family that I need to tell now so my telephone is going to run hot all day today!”

The excited grandmother said it was too early to say what she’ll do with her $1 million Monday Lotto windfall.

“I’ll just put it in the bank for the moment and sit down and think about what I’ll do next!”

The winning 24-game QuickPick was purchased at Fairfield Heights Newsagency, 251 The Boulevard in Fairfield Heights.

There were two entries that won a first division prize in Monday Lotto which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw.
