Nick Kyrgios is the first Aussie since 2005 to make it to the Quarterfinals of the Australian Open, and if he hopes to continue his campaign he has to go through Scotsman Andy Murray on Tuesday (AEST) night.

Kyrgios continues to prove that he is the real deal. The young kid from Canberra took the world by storm last year, and has done the same thing in 2015. While his first round match against Federico Delbonis may have gone to five sets , he wasn’t really pushed in his opening three rounds. Enter Andrea Seppi. The Italian who took down World No.2 Roger Federer seemed to have Kyrgios’ number, winning the first two sets 7-5, 6-4. But nothing was going to stop Kyrgios in front of his home crowd, taking the second two sets 6-3, 7-6. In the final set, the Aussie sensation showed he can go the distance, taking Seppi in an 8-6 thriller.

Kyrgios now faces one of his toughest challenges in his career thus far; World No.6 Andy Murray . The Scotsman has cruised through to the Quaterfinals, dropping just one set in four rounds. His fourth round annihilation of Grigor Dimitrov was something special. The Bulgarian is no pushover, yet Murray seemed to toy with him at times, taking the match comfortably in four sets . To make matters worse for Kyrgios, Murray will go out with a point to prove on Tuesday, having made it to the Australian Open Final three times (2010, 2011 & 2013) but has never walked away with the trophy.

All of Australia will be watching “Kicks” take the stage on Tuesday night, hoping he can advance through to the finals and become the first Aussie to win an Australian Open in almost 40 years. But TattsBet customers don’t seem all that confident the kid can do it, will all of the attention being focused on Murray in straight sets .
