Darwin's missing $10 million Oz Lotto winner found!

Tuesday 27 January 2015 - How did you celebrate your Australia Day? One Darwin man had a particularly memorable one after discovering that he’d won a truckload of cash in last Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw!

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, only realised yesterday that his unregistered Oz Lotto ticket had won division one and other divisional prizes worth a staggering $10,029,772.05!

“I’d been away on holidays and when I got home, it was all over the news that there was a search on for a missing $10 million Oz Lotto winner from Darwin,” the new multi-millionaire explained.

“I entertained myself for a bit thinking I might be that lucky person. So I got the winning numbers off the internet and checked my ticket. I think I checked it another ten times before I allowed myself to believe that I’d won $10 million!”

“At this stage I’m planning to invest my prize money wisely,” the winner added.

The winning System 8 QuickPick entry was purchased from Parap Newsagency at 42 Parap Road in Parap.

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division share of Oz Lotto’s $20 million jackpot draw on Tuesday 20 January, each worth $10 million. Along with the winning entry purchased in Parap, the other winning ticket was sold in New South Wales.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1092 on 20 January 2015 were 28, 20, 15, 14, 34, 31 and 2. The supplementary numbers were 42 and 29.
