The Arizona Cardinals  play host to the San Diego Chargers  on Tuesday (AEST), as both teams look to start the season with a win.

After just missing out on the post-season last year, the Cardinals are ready to take the NFL by storm. They are coming off just their second 10-win season since moving to Arizona, with a 6-2 record at home. Their defence will again be a stand-out after finishing sixth in the league for metres allowed. Quarterback, Carson Palmer, is set to lead the charge from behind the line of scrimmage, after finishing eighth in the league last year with 4,274 yards and 24 touchdown passes.

The Chargers head into Tuesday’s match brimming with confidence. After making the finals last season for the first time in five years, they finished the pre-season with a 2-2 record that included a win over the Cardinals a fortnight ago. Quarterback Philip Rivers, who was named comeback player of the year last season, is continuing his impressive form after finishing the pre-season with an imposing 83% completion rate. Off the back of Rivers, the Chargers were fifth in the league for yardage.

The Chargers have won the last three games between the two sides, however they haven't faced-off for almost four years. The Cardinals may have an impressive home record, but all the money on TattsBet is for the visitors.
