It’s a battle for divisional supremacy when the New York Giants face the Washington Redskins  on Friday morning (AEST).

The Giants are on the verge of turning their season around. After two straight losses to the Lions and the Cardinals, they drifted in the Super Bowl betting market from $67 to . But New York are finally on the board after their thrilling 30 – 17 win over Houston last week. Quarterback Eli Manning was sensational against the Texans, completing 21 of 28 passes for 234 yards with two touchdowns. His partnership with wide receiver Victor Cruz continues to prosper, with Cruz finally breaking a 12-game touchdown drought last week.

Things are going from bad to worse for the Redskins. Their injuries continue to pile up, and their market value continues to plummet. After starting the season at $51, they too have drifted to . But even with cornerback DeAngelo Hall (Achilles) and safety Duke Ihenacho (foot) out for the season, the home side are heavy favourites coming into this one. It could be because of injured quarterback Robert Griffin III replacement, Kirk Cousins, who completed 30 of 48 passes for a staggering 427 yards with three touchdowns against the Eagles last week.

This is always a fiery clash when these two go head-to-head. In the last eight matches, the Giants have the upper hand slightly, with five wins going to the New Yorkers. With three of the last four clashes being decided by four points or less, all the money is coming in for Washington at the line.
