Sydney couple 'shaking' after shock $754,000 Saturday Lotto win!

Tuesday 23 September, 2014 - A Sydney couple’s quick trip to the NSW Lotteries office to claim a small divisional prize from a Saturday Lotto draw two weeks ago had a surprise ending when they discovered they’d won a first division prize worth $754,000!

The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, were unaware their entry from Saturday Lotto draw 3457 on 6 September 2014 had won first division and other divisional prizes totalling $754,813.88.

“I’m shaking at the moment! I can’t believe this!” the stunned woman exclaimed.

“My partner usually checks our lotto tickets but he hadn’t had the chance to check our ticket from two weeks ago until yesterday afternoon.

“We knew we’d won something after he checked our ticket but we thought it was around $1,000. It wasn’t until we got here this morning that we found out we’d won first division!”

The winners said they want to put their Saturday Lotto windfall towards their mortgage and do some much needed renovations around their home.

“Rather than going for the budget renovation options, I’ll now be able to afford to get what I like!”

The division one winning Saturday Lotto 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Greenwood News, Shop P20 in Greenwood Plaza, 36 Blue Street in North Sydney.

Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on Saturday 6 September 2014, each worth $754,800.43. There were three winning entries purchased in New South Wales, and one each purchased in Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.

Along with the winning entry from North Sydney, the other New South Wales division one winning entries were purchased in Campbelltown and Greenfield Park.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3457 on 6 September 2014 were 43, 17, 27, 10, 34 and 4 with the supplementary numbers of 26 and 18.
