Missing $1 million Monday Lotto winner claims prize!

Wednesday 24 September, 2014 - The search for the missing millionaire who purchased an unregistered division one winning Monday Lotto ticket in the Sydney suburb of Kirrawee is over after the winner came forward and claimed their prize.

The winner, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, won a first division prize of $1 million in last week’s Monday Lotto draw 3382 on 15 September.

NSW Lotteries always recommends customers register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card as it ensures their prize is secure and that NSW Lotteries can contact them directly with news of a division one win.

The winning unregistered Monday Lotto 12-game marked entry was purchased from Kirrawee Newsagency, 171 Oak Road in Kirrawee.

Kirrawee Newsagency owners Suresh and Ashmita Lakhani were overjoyed when they discovered that their store had sold a division one winning entry in last week’s Monday Lotto.

“We are so thrilled for our customer who is now a millionaire after their Monday Lotto win!” Mr Lakhani said excitedly.

“We’ve been selling lotto entries for about 28 years now and during that time we’ve sold a few division one winning tickets. It’s been a few years since the last one though, so we did feel that we were overdue for a win!”

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division prize in Monday Lotto draw 3382 on 15 September 2014 which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw. Along with the winning entry from Kirrawee, the other winning ticket from New South Wales was purchased in Merrylands.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3382 on Monday 15 September 2014 were 45, 41, 39, 1, 8 and 35 with the supplementary numbers of 12 and 5.

There are more chances to win big this week with $15 million up for grabs in Thursday’s Powerball jackpot draw. Tickets are available now from all NSW Lotteries outlets or online from Tatts.com.
