Last year’s champions and this year’s favourites lock horns on Monday morning (AEST) as Manchester City  host Chelsea .

City are winless in three games for the first time since February 2013 following draws to Bayern Munich and Arsenal after a shock loss to Stoke. The Sky Blues find themselves in fifth spot, five points behind front-runners Chelsea. It's extremely early in the season, however if Manuel Pelligrini fail to keep out the Blues, they’ll be awfully hard to run down. Sergio Aguero is the man City will look for up front, and he’s in fine form with three goals already this campaign.

Diego Costa’s transfer from Athletico Madrid was one of the biggest moves of the summer, but few would have expected the 25-year-old to make such a devastating impact so quickly. The Spanish international has already scored seven goals in the opening four matches, including a hat-trick last week against Swansea, and he leads the first goal scorer market at .

The hosts are favourites heading into the clash, but Chelsea look the value considering their impressive form. City won 2-0  last time these two sides met at Etihad Stadium, and home ground advantage could again be crucial come Monday morning.
