Greener pastures for $1 million Wednesday Lotto winner!

Thursday 18 September, 2014 - Forget the shiny sports car, a first division Wednesday Lotto winner from the Batemans Bay area is planning to buy himself a new tractor after winning $1 million in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw!

The man in his 50s couldn’t stop laughing after he checked his ticket this afternoon and discovered he’d become a millionaire overnight!

“I initially thought someone was trying to play a joke on me!” the excited winner exclaimed.

“I’ve had a lot of struggles in the past few years so this is incredible. I’m pretty stunned right now and my wife is blubbering!

“Is there any chance I could get my $1 million prize money in $1 coins? Could you imagine that!” the winner jokingly added.

“Seriously though I’ll be able to use my Wednesday Lotto windfall to pay off my mortgage. I’ll also be able to buy myself a new tractor and maybe a couple of cows!”

The winning 36-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Batehaven Newsagency, 248 Beach Road in Batehaven.

There was only one entry that won a first division prize in Wednesday Lotto 3383 which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto draw 3383 on Wednesday 17 September, 2014 were 17, 6, 7, 31, 32 and 26 with the supplementary numbers of 14 and 3.

There are more chances to win big this week with $20 million up for grabs in this weekend’s Saturday Lotto $20 Million Superdraw on Saturday 20 September. Tickets are available now from all NSW Lotteries outlets or online from Tatts.com.
