North Queensland host Brisbane on Saturday night aiming to change their finals fortunes.

The Cowboys haven't had the rub of the green in the past two finals series. In 2012, they were controversially beaten by the Sea Eagles and last year same thing happened against the Sharks. They love to play the Broncos in the finals, however, having beaten their big brother in both times they've met them in September. The home ground advantage is a huge bonus for the Cowboys, having won ten in a row at 1300Smiles Stadium this year.

The Broncos know they are lucky to be playing finals footy. A 22-12 loss to Melbourne last week meant a string of other results had to go their way, and fortunately they did. They may be the underdogs, but the Broncos have the upper-hand on North Queensland, winning three of their last four meetings. A massive boost for the visitors is the return of Sam Thaiday, who missed last week’s game through suspension.

This is the first elimination final, and both teams will put everything on the line. Given the fact that three of their last four meetings were decided by four points or less, it is no wonder punters are still backing the Broncs.
