The North Queensland Cowboys  need a victory over the Cronulla Sharks  to secure a spot in the Top 8.

The Cowboys have set a new record. With their impressive form over the Rabbitohs last Saturday, they head into Monday's clash with the biggest line in history. At -30.5, it seems everyone thinks the Cowboys are going to run riot over the Sharks; and it’s not hard to see why.

Last week against the Bunnies, they were close to perfection. They completed 18/18 sets in the first half, before finishing with a completion rate of 89% and missing only 17 tackles. Matt Scott has been inspirational since coming back from injury a month ago, averaging 20 runs for an impressive 199 metres and 30 tackles; not bad for a front rower who averages 62 minutes a game.

The Sharks just need to make it to the end of the season, given they are now all but guaranteed the wooden spoon. Last week against the Raiders, nothing seemed to click. A 70% completion rate and over 30 missed tackles isn't good enough. Valentine Holmes has been the one shining light for the Sharkies, averaging over 100 metres a game since his debut, while nabbing a couple of tries in the process.

All the money coming in is for the Cowboys and one conservative punter has invested $2,000 on the home side at $1.04, thinking (like most) it's an easy extra $80 in the account. Another reckons 'the Cows' will cover the massive line and invested $4,000 at $1.90 giving up 30.5 points!

With the Cowboys outside backs performing out of their skin lately, Kyle Feldt is a short price favourite to cross for the first try.
