It's off to work for $1 million Wednesday Gold Lotto winner!

Thursday 7 August, 2014 - A rail commuter on the Ipswich line who won $1 million in last night’s Wednesday Gold Lotto draw missed that dream phone call from Golden Casket this morning because she’d already headed off to work!

It was only when the woman in her 40s checked her Wednesday Gold Lotto entry herself that she discovered she’d become a millionaire overnight after winning division one.

“I can’t believe it! This prize will be an amazing help,” the emotional winner said.

“I’ve still got to go work but I don’t know how I’m going to concentrate today!”

The overwhelmed winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said it was too early to say what she plans to do with her $1 million Wednesday Gold Lotto prize but it means she won’t have to worry about the future.

The winning Wednesday Gold Lotto 12-game marked entry was purchased from Transit Centre News Kiosk, Shop 19 on Level 2 of the Brisbane Transit Centre, 151 Roma Street in Brisbane.

“I’ve been playing my winning numbers for around 20 years. They weren’t even special numbers like birthdays, they were just random ones I picked back then!” the winner added.

It was the only entry that won a first division prize in Wednesday Gold Lotto which offers a guaranteed $1 million division one prize for up to four winners in every draw.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3371 on 6 August 2014 were 44, 1, 16, 37, 29 and 20 the supplementary numbers 32 and 6.

Powerball has jackpotted to an unbelievable $40 million for tonight’s draw and Gold Lotto’s $21 Million Superdraw is on Saturday 9 August. Tickets are available at any Golden Casket outlet or online via Tatts.com.
