Back-to-back first division Powerball wins for Queensland!

Friday, 29 August 2014 - One week after a Sunshine Coast woman won a staggering $35.9 million in Powerball, another Queensland player is celebrating becoming a multi-millionaire after winning first division in last night’s Powerball draw!

The latest Powerball winner, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, has come forward to claim their division one Powerball prize worth $3 million.

The winning entry was purchased from Childers Newsagency and newsagency owners Graham and Joanne Walker were over the moon when they discovered their outlet had sold the division one winning Powerball ticket.

“We’re thrilled and happy for our customer who won this life-changing prize!” Mr Walker said.

“There will no doubt be a buzz around town today as news spreads that we sold a $3 million winning Powerball ticket!

“It’s the biggest prize we’ve ever sold! We can only imagine how excited the Powerball winner must be today!”

The winning Powerball 10-game marked entry was purchased at Childers Newsagency, 92 Churchill Street in Childers. It was the only division one winning ticket in last night’s Powerball draw 954.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 954 on Thursday 28 August 2014 were 9, 11, 28, 26, 23 and 14 and the all-important Powerball number was 11.

Powerball will offer a $3 million division one prize in next week’s draw.
