The Canterbury Bulldogs  will look to get one back on the Wests Tigers on Thursday night, after losing to the joint venture club in round 19.

After a month of disappointment which included four straight losses, the Doggies are back in the winners circle after last week’s gutsy victory over the Eels. Minus his NSW partner in crime (Josh Reynolds), Trent Hodkinson finally did what a half is supposed to do. He took control of the game, with pin point kicks and precision passing. The front row of James Graham and Aiden Tolman laid the platform, taking 47 runs for 344 metres between them.

The Tigers have endured a horrible season plagued by a tsunami of injuries and off-field distractions. It's all come to a head in the last three weeks, with timid Tiges leaking a club record 140 points. But it's not all doom and gloom in 'Tiger town' - they have some quality youngsters emerging, such as Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses and Curtis Sironen. However, last week their inexperience was exposed by the premiers, and 38 missed tackles, 12 handling errors and a number of poor last play options didn't help.

The Bulldogs have the size and skill to go all the way this year, but they need to regain that consistency they had at the start of the season.
