Ararat Grandad claims $624,000 TattsLotto prize

Monday 11 August, 2014 - A Grandad from Ararat has finally come forward to claim his division one TattsLotto prize of $624,516.12 won three weeks ago!

The pensioner in his late 60s had forgotten to check his ticket from the TattsLotto draw on 19 July, according to his son who spoke with Tatts today.

“He stuck his TattsLotto ticket on the cork board at home and totally forgot about it,” the winner’s son said.

“It was up on the board among the photos of the grandkids so you might say they were lucky charms!

“He hasn’t decided what to do with the prize money yet, but I think he’ll warm his bones north of the border, at least for a holiday,” his son added.

The winning man purchased his TattsLotto Mega QuickPick 24-game ticket from Harris Newsagency, 150-152 Barkly Street in Ararat.

This is the second division one winning TattsLotto entry Harris Newsagency has sold in 2014, following a prize of $1,015,213.50 won by a local man in his 50s on 12 April this year.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3443 on Saturday 19 July 2014 were 27, 13, 8, 4, 42 and 28 with the supplementary numbers of 26 and 6.
