The stats speak for themselves. The Manly Sea Eagles are by far the best team in the competition. There is a reason they are sitting on top of the ladder. In attack they are clinical and in defence they are destructive. On Friday they take on the Brisbane Broncos, who need to take a few pointers from the Silvertails.

Geoff Toovey has done wonders with the Sea Eagles. The way they approach every game is no different then the way they would approach a Grand Final. They rip in at training and it seems to pay off on the footy field. Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran direct the team around so well. On Sunday against the Warriors they worked off with such precision and are hitting their straps ahead of the finals. Coach Geoff Toovey has made just one change to side that toppled the Warriors, with Jorge Taufua named on the wing with Cheyse Blair dropping out of the side.

Not much can be said about the Broncos performance last week. They were off in attack and sluggish in defence. At times it looked like they played with concrete in the boots. They were dominated in the middle and the Melbourne Storm took full advantage. Daniel Vidot and Jack Reed have both been named on the wings at the expense of Lachlan Maranta and Jordon Kahu. Jake Granville and Martin Kennedy have been named on an extended bench.

One team is flying high, the other is starting to fizzle out. With Manly playing back at Brooky, it’s hard to not see them getting home in this one.
