Grandmother’s tears of joy after scooping The Pools!

Monday 7 July, 2014 - A woman from Ulladulla said she squealed with delight when she discovered she’d won more than $319,000 after scoring a first division win in The Pools, a NSW Lotteries game where the winning numbers are based on the results of local and international soccer matches.

The local Grandmother was unaware she’d won a division one prize of $319,313.33 in The Pools last week until she finally checked her entry at the weekend.

“I’m a very happy girl! When I found out I’d won division one, I let out a squeal before the tears welled up in my eyes,” the excited winner explained.

“About 12 months ago I decided to start playing The Pools regularly using numbers that are special to me. This is so incredible!

“I’m going to see a financial planner first but I want to share my windfall with my family. I can make everyone happy which makes me very happy!”

The winner was oblivious to her division one win until she checked her registered entry as her Players Club card contact details were out-of-date and NSW Lotteries couldn’t reach her with the good news.

It’s a timely reminder for all NSW Lotteries Players Club card members to make sure they update their personal details if they change their phone number or home address, so they can be contacted by NSW Lotteries if they win a division one prize.

There was only one entry that scooped the entire first division prize pool of $319,313.33 in The Pools.

The winning 4-game marked entry was purchased at Jems Newsagency, Shop 4A in Woolworths Centre, Boree Street in Ulladulla.

The winning numbers in The Pools draw 1509 were 33, 35, 12, 3, 1 and 19. The supplementary number was 18.
