Crusaders v Sharks

Saturday 26/7/14 @ 17:35pm (AEST)

The biggest impediment for the Sharks is the arduous task of travelling to New Zealand after a hard fought match in South Africa. They will also come up against a full strength Crusaders outfit raring to go after a weeks rest. The Sharks improvement in form of late suggests they are capable of an upset, and if their forwards deliver another brutal physical display, they will test the home side, especially with their powerful scrummaging and driving malls. I am though backing the Crusaders to match the physical Sharks side, and with fresh legs, and playing on home soil, I will tip them to secure the win. Watch for Nadolo to feature heavily again for the Crusaders.

Pick: Crusaders at home.

Waratahs v Brumbies

Saturday 26/7/14 @ 19:30pm (AEST)

There will certainly be some feeling in this game, with a war or words already escalating between the two teams. The Waratahs should rightly be favourites though, and look to have the better side on paper. However, the Brumbies are capable of pushing them all the way. I do though feel the Brumbies are a little vulnerable up front in the tight forwards, and this should be where the Waratahs gain ascendancy and set the platform for a win. Watch for big games from Folau (Tahs) and Speight (Brumbies).

Pick: Waratahs to win.
