This game will be a battle of the halfbacks. Both Ben Hunt and Shaun Johnson are hitting some really good form. With Hunt returning from Origin duty for the Brisbane Broncos , and New Zealand Warriors’  Shaun Johnson probably in the best form of his career, it will be quite a spectacle in New Zealand on Saturday night.

Hunt is having a season to remember. Struggling to crack a starting spot for the past couple of seasons, he has become the Broncos first choice halfback. Impressing not only coach Anthony Griffin, but also Maroons mentor Mal Meninga, Hunt is ready for a tough battle against an electric opponent. After another huge Origin campaign, Griffin has again decided to not name his rep stars. Both Matt Gillett and Sam Thaiday have been rested, with Corey Oates and Todd Lowrie keeping their positions is the starting side. Jake Granville starts at hooker for the injured Andrew McCullough (knee), with Ben Hannat replacing Corey Parker (cheekbone) at prop.

Slowly, the Warriors are becoming a team with consistency - a strange description for a side that's been noted for their hot and cold performances over the past few seasons. They are known for their flamboyant attack, but at the moment it’s their defence that's noteworthy. They may have leaked 34 points against the Rabbitohs two weeks ago, but any team would find it hard to stop Dylan Walker in the form he was in. Only conceding an average of 17 points a game for the Warriors is a huge improvement. Ben Henry and Charlie Gubb are the only changes to the side, with Ben Matulino out with a knee injury and Siliva Havili making way.

The Broncos need to be on their game on Saturday. New Zealand has become a fortress for the Warriors and if the Broncos give them even an inch, the Warriors will take a mile.
