Racing will be keen in the Alice today. Source:

Trained by Kym Healy at Strathalbyn in South Australia, Pretty Blonde  is well-fancied in this afternoon's $110,000 Alice Springs Cup.

A winnner of seven of 32 starts, the five-year-old mare has netted connections $126,000 this far anhd today's purse of $72,500 would certainly be welcome for the daughter of High Rolling. After winning the Port Lincoln and Kimba Cups in her home state, Pretty Blonde ventured to the Alice for a lead-up run in a WFA event over 1600m. She settled as long last, before taking off at the 600m mark and coasting to a 1.8 length victory.

Fellow South Australia trained horses, Chieftan Jack , Generous Beau #QL_SS#1417738;778355#SS #and Prestige Glen  appear the hardest to beat. Trained by Phillip Stokes, Chieftan Jack  finished a close third in the Onkaparinga Cup at Oakbank last start and has Dominic Tourneaur in the saddle.

From the David and Ryan Balfour yard, Generous Beau is coming off consistent performances in restricted grade at Morphettville and Oakbank, while the lightly-raced Prestige Glen was a last start winner at Oakbank.

Kyneton trainer Sheila Arnold has the well-fancied The Ruffian , while Mt Isa visitor Bolton  is a blow-out chance.
