Missing $6 million Powerball winner found!

Tuesday 13 May, 2014 - The search for the mystery multi-millionaire who won a huge $6 million with an unregistered ticket in last week’s Powerball draw is over.

The winner, who wishes to remain completely anonymous, came forward today to claim their multi-million dollar prize five days after the draw!

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said the winner admitted they were unaware NSW Lotteries had been searching for them, the mystery holder of $6 million Powerball winning ticket.

“Because the winning ticket was not registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card, NSW Lotteries had no way of contacting the winner,” Ms McDougall said.

“Instead of being able to contact the winner to let them know they were a multi-millionaire, we had to wait for the winner to contact us.

“NSW Lotteries always recommends players register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card as it ensures their prize is secure and we can contact them directly with news of a division one win.”

The winning unregistered ticket was purchased from Nextra Glendale, Shop 33 in Stockland Glendale Shopping Centre, Lake Road in Glendale.

The winner was the only division one winner nationally in Powerball draw 938 on 8 May 2014. The winning numbers were 13, 21, 8, 28, 34 and 7; the Powerball was number 4.
