Talk about a dark horse. The Gold Coast Titans  are sitting equal top of the ladder. Even with their depth tested this season, they just keep coming out on top. However, this weekend they face a real challenge in the form of the South Sydney Rabbitohs . Starting to hit the form we have all been waiting for, the men from Redfern head into Saturday’s game firm favourites.

The Titans have exceeded all expectations. Given they were long odds to even make the top 8 to begin with, the fact they are sitting alongside Manly on top of the competition is a shock to say the least. But with a host of representatives in their side, it’s not that much of a stretch. Greg Bird and Mate Myles (Australia), David Mead and Kevin Gordon (Country), and Beau Falloon (City) all back up after an exciting Rep weekend. Mead’s outstanding form has seen regular fullback William Zillman bumped to centre, with Matt Srama replacing the suspended Paul Carter. Both Albert Kelly (leg) and Aiden Sezer (ankle) are in doubt.

It seems as though as long as Greg Inglis is playing well, the Rabbits play well. Over the past couple of weeks, the Rabbits have started to show the form we've all anticipated. With Inglis (Australia), Dylan Walker and Adam Reynolds (City) all backing up, coach Michael Maguire has named an unchanged line-up. Joel Reddy, Ben Lowe and Joe Picker have been named on an extended bench.

Everyone is waiting for the Titans to fall, and South Sydney is just the team to make it happen.
