Saturday Lotto win for Tweed Heads!

Monday 7 April, 2014 - A Banora Point man said he plans to celebrate winning a first division share in Saturday Lotto with a glass of scotch! 

The retiree was over the moon after discovering his entry in the weekend’s draw had won him a division one share worth more than $580,000. 

“I’m on top of the world at the moment!” the excited winner exclaimed. 

“I’ve been playing Lotto since it began and I’ve caught a few little fish over the years but now I’ve hooked the mackerel! 

“I’m going to sit down today and have a nice glass of scotch to celebrate.” 

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said his favourite charities will benefit from his Saturday Lotto windfall. 

“I’m going to make a nice donation to the Children’s Hospital and to the Guide Dogs. I think I’ll also take a long overdue holiday!” 

The winning 18-game recorded entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw was purchased from Newton’s Newsagency, 49 Wharf Street in Tweed Heads. 

Throughout Australia, there were seven entries that won a first division share in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, each worth $583,868.36. One winning entry was purchasd from New South Wales, three were purchased each in Queensland and South Australia. 

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3413 on 5 April 2014 were 24, 29, 22, 39, 36 and 1 with the supplementary numbers of 45 and 6.
