Happy Hodgo Back For Broncos

Broncos co-captain Justin Hodges will make an early return from injury against Parra.

Broncos v Eels
Friday April 4 – 7.45pm (AEST)
Suncorp Stadium

Form guide:
Broncos: WWLW
Eels: WLLW

Things You Need To Know:
In a massive boost to the Broncos, Justin Hodges returns from an Achilles injury five weeks ahead of schedule. Brisbane are coming off a strong win over the previously unbeaten St George Illawarra. Parramatta will go in with the same starting side that convincingly defeated Penrith.

Reason To Watch:
Chris Sandow has always had the ability but a lack of consistency has been his constant companion on a very rocky career path. The little No.7 was good against Penrith in his first top-grade game in eight months but must do it again this week. And next week. And the one after. Sandow is at his best when he doesn't try to overplay his hand and Brad Arthur seems to have rammed that message home to him.

Reason To Turn Away:
Justin Hodges. Unless you live north of the border, this bloke can have you throwing full cans of beer at the Samsung as he bitches, fights, scratches and provokes his way through 80 minutes. But if you're from Queensland, then Hodges is a brilliant centre who is extremely competitive and passionate and will do anything it takes to get his team home.

Say What:
"If something was going to happen it would have went by now. It can't get any stronger than it is." – Justin Hodges is adamant he's not rushing his return from an Achilles injury

Final Word:
We like what we've seen of the Eels over the past two fortnight, beating Penrith comfortably a week after being done on the bell by Manly. But hopefully it's not a case of two steps forward, three back as the Eels do have an ugly side. The Brisbane forward pack has eaten up plenty of metres this season and will look to bully Parramatta out of the contest. If they can do that, then their backs will complete the job. Brisbane by 14.
