Heart stopping $1 million win for Brisbane man!

Thursday 3 April, 2014 - A man from Brisbane’s northside is celebrating becoming one of the state’s newest millionaires overnight after winning $1 million in first division in Wednesday Gold Lotto!

The winner, in his 60s, said it was a heart stopping moment when he realised he’d won $1 million in last night’s draw.

“After I checked my Wednesday Gold Lotto numbers and realised I’d won first division, I was in shock! I nearly keeled over!” the winner exclaimed.

“I’ve been playing the same Gold Lotto numbers for decades and the most I think I’ve ever won is $400 or $500!

“My wife actually picked the numbers and I didn’t like them much but that’s now changed!” he jokingly added.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he was too overwhelmed by the news to say what he’ll do with his Wednesday Gold Lotto windfall.

“I haven’t told my wife yet. I’m going to call her and ask her what type of new car she’d like!”

The winning System 7 recorded entry was purchased at West Stafford News, 611 Stafford Road in Stafford.

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division prize in Wednesday Gold Lotto which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw. Along with the winning entry from Stafford, the other winning ticket was purchased online at Tatts.com by a customer in Tasmania.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3335 on Wednesday 2 April 2014 were 7, 38, 6, 26, 13 and 34 with the supplementary numbers of 35 and 25.

Oz Lotto has jackpotted to a huge $10 million for Tuesday’s draw. You can grab an entry at any Golden Casket outlet or online for your chance to win a truck load of cash.
