Coming off a shock loss to the Titans last week, the Brisbane Broncos  are looking to get back into the winner’s circle when they face the Newcastle Knights  in the Hunter Valley. A rather inexperienced side, the Broncos need someone to instil confidence - enter Justin Hodges. His comeback trail will no doubt inspire teammates and hopefully bring with it the winning culture the Broncos are so well known for.

Brisbane comes up against a Newcastle outfit, which is starting to show signs of the form that lead it within one game of the grand final last year. The Knights were clinical in their performance last week against the Raiders, completing over 80% of their sets and breaking the line 7 times to post a 26-12 victory in the nation’s capital.

Brisbane has named an unchanged line-up from last week, adding Jarrod Wallace to the bench, as the 18th man. Josh Mantellato has come into the Newcastle side on the wing in replace of the injured Akuila Uate (ankle), with Willie Mason back in the starting side, pushing Zane Tetevano back to the bench.

With both teams having a mixed season so far, it’s hard to tell who will show up on game day. But with Jarrod Mullen back in the side, the Knights might just have the fire power to secure a home win.
