TattsLotto Superdraw winner can't stomach champagne!

Monday 17 February, 2014 - For most TattsLotto winners, the first thing they do after coming down from Cloud Nine is pop the cork on a bottle of champagne and toast to their good fortune.

But Victoria’s newest TattsLotto millionaire from Wantirna South admitted he has yet to acquire a taste for the finer things in life after winning $2 million in TattsLotto’s $20 Million Superdraw on the weekend.

“I had the family around to celebrate on Sunday night and we shared a few bottles of something called Dom Pérignon,” the retired winner said.

“But I had a sip and thought, well, I don’t much like the taste of that. Champagne is not for me!” he laughed.

The winner is keen to share his $2 million TattsLotto windfall with his family.

“My head was spinning all day after I checked those winning numbers. Just thinking about it gave me a roaring headache!” the winner said.

“I’m not too sure what to do with all that money at my age, so I’ve decided to take a number of the family away on a holiday cruise, and I’ll see a financial advisor.

“I spoke to my adult children about winning this prize and said, you know, isn’t it funny, I played the same numbers in TattsLotto with their late mother for 40 years and it was just a month ago that I changed my numbers to be completely different.

“I must have had a feeling in my waters.”

The man purchased his division one winning TattsLotto 26-game entry online from Tatts.com.

Two Melbourne syndicates share in TattsLotto Superdraw

Two more first division TattsLotto prizes of $2 million from the weekend’s $20 Million Superdraw will be split between two syndicates in Melbourne.

One syndicate of 10 TattsLotto players all purchased their tickets from Brimbank Central Lotto, Kiosk K5 in Brimbank Central Shopping Centre in Deer Park. The shareholders will each claim their first division share of $200,000, along with other divisional prizes for a total of $214,563.38 each.

Another syndicate of 10 TattsLotto players purchased tickets from Tatts outlets around Melbourne. Each shareholder in the syndicate will claim a first division share of $200,000, along with other divisional prizes for a total of $203,744.60 each. Shares in this winning syndicate were purchased from four Tatts outlets including Plenty Luck News & Lotto in South Preston, Highett Lotto & Tobacco in Highett, Fitzroy Lotto in Fitzroy and Lakeside News & Lotto in Reservoir.

Throughout Australia, there were 10 entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s $20 Million Superdraw 3399, each worth $2,000,000. Along with the three winning entries purchased in Victoria, three winning entries were purchased in Queensland, with two in South Australia and one each in New South Wales and Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto Superdraw 3399 on 14 February 2014 were 40, 39, 32, 6, 27 and 28 with the supplementary numbers of 1 and 34.
