We have a winner! ACT’s $30 million Oz Lotto prize claimed!

Tuesday 23 December 2014 - On the eve of Christmas Eve, the mystery of who won a staggering $30 million in Oz Lotto with an unregistered ticket purchased in the ACT has been solved!

A Canberra family have had all their Christmases come at once after discovering they were holding the winning ticket and they’re now multi-millionaires!

The winning wife admitted she was unaware NSW Lotteries had been searching for a mystery ticket holder who purchased their winning $30 million Oz Lotto entry in Woden.

“I was finishing off my Christmas shopping today and saw a sign at the outlet urging customers to check their entries because they’d sold the $30 million winning Oz Lotto ticket,” the flabbergasted winner explained.

“I thought I’d better check my Oz Lotto entry but I never considered that I actually had the winning ticket. I never win anything!

“I’m feeling very surprised and overwhelmed at the moment. My hands have gone numb and I’m taking very deep breaths!

“We’ll be able to pay off our mortgage and we can fly First Class next time we go overseas!” the excited winner added.

NSW Lotteries’ players are encouraged to register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card because not only does this ensure their prize is secure, it also means they can be contacted directly with the news of a division one win.

The division one winning entry in last Tuesday’s $30 million Oz Lotto draw 1087 was sold at newsXpress Woden, Shop L66 in Woden Plaza, 8 Bradley Street in Woden.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1087 on 16 December 2014 were 25, 21, 11, 42, 20, 45 and 4. The supplementary numbers were 23 and 1.

There’s another chance to win big this week with $15 million up for grabs in Powerball on Christmas night. Tickets are available at any NSW Lotteries outlet or online via Tatts.com.
