Check your Oz Lotto tickets - you could be $30 million richer!

Wednesday 17 December 2014 - What sort of Christmas could you have with $30 million in the bank? That's what the winner of last night's Oz Lotto jackpot will have to decide - when they find out they've won a truck load of cash!

Someone in the ACT is walking around with a $30 million dollar winning Oz Lotto ticket in their wallet or purse, and they may not even be aware of it! An Oz Lotto ticket purchased in the Canberra region scooped the entire $30 million division one prize pool in last night's draw.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said the winning entry wasn't registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card so there is no way of contacting the newest Oz Lotto multi-millionaire.

"If you purchased an unregistered entry in last night's Oz Lotto draw in the Canberra region, we advise you to keep your ticket in a safe place and have it checked at a NSW Lotteries outlet or online at www.nswlotteries.com.au as soon as possible," Ms McDougall said.

"The winner may have woken up this morning and headed off to work oblivious to the fact that they're now $30 million richer!

"Once the ticket holder has claimed their truckload of cash, the winner is sure to have an extra special Christmas and no doubt ring in the New Year in style!

"NSW Lotteries' players are encouraged to register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card because not only does this ensure their prize is secure, but it also means they can be contacted directly with the news of a division one win."

There was one division one winning entry in last night's $30 million Oz Lotto draw.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1087 on 16 December 2014 were 25, 21, 11, 42, 20, 45 and 4. The supplementary numbers were 23 and 1.

There's another chance to win big this week with $10 million up for grabs in Thursday's Powerball draw. Tickets are available at any NSW Lotteries outlet or online via Tatts.com.
