TattBet's Top Dog

Can this week's pick be the top dog on the night?

The Cleaner might be the pride of the 'Apple Isle' as far as horse racing is concerned, but Buckle Up Wes is the greyhound equivalent in Tasmania.

Trained by Edward Medhurst at Managalore, the son of Collision and Everlong Bale has won 30 races and been placed another 12 times. All this from 51 career starts, amassing $551,495 in prize money.

The star chaser has dominated racing in his home state over the last couple of years, winning nine times in Hobart (the venue for this series), 13 times at Launceston and once in Devonport. But he's also had success on the mainland, including a Group 1 double this year at the Meadows (Melbourne) where he won  the Topgun and the Australian Cup. He's the first Tasmanian greyhound to win the Topgun and just the second dog to complete the Australian Cup/Topgun double. Just the 11th chaser to pass the magical half-million dollar mark in prize money, he's also been successful at Wentworth Park (Sydney) and Albion Park (Brisbane).

Buckle Up Wes is owned by Sharon Sutton and Robyn Johnson, and is named after Sharon’s partner Peter Wesley. Not only would these lucky owners be cheering if further Group 1 glory was achieved in front of his adoring fans, so would most of Tasmania. But first this week's TattsBet Top Dog must win his heat!

TattsBet also have a special offer for Buckle Up Wes to win his heat, compared to his fixed price of .
