It's a field stacked with quality, yet rising-star Chautauqua dominated TattsBet markets heading into the Group 1 Darley Classic (1200m) down the Flemington straight course.

Between them, the 13 runners have 19 Group 1 victories - Buffering
(4), Lankan Rupee  (4), Moment Of Change (3), Slade Power (2), Platelet  (2), Rebel Dane (1), Temple O f Boom (1), Famous Seamus (1) and Driefontein (1). The four without success at the elite level are Terravista , Cluster , Sidestep and the heavily supported punters' elect Chautauqua.

Another measure of the class of the field, all bar three (Chautauqua, Terravista and Cluster) have passed the million dollar mark in stakes earnings. Between them, this baker's dozen have amassed almost $21.9 in prize money from 105 victories and 97 placings. Interestingly, these quality performers have more victories than placings.

The hype horse has definitely been Chautauqua, who has trounced a couple of handy fields over this track and distance running quick times sizzling down the straight-six. That was at Group 3 and Group 2, now the Team Hawkes' star is playing with the big boys. There's no doubting his ability, but he is against multiple Group 1 winners who are regular big time performers and tough nuts to crack!
