Kansas City have had just four days to prepare for Friday’s (AEST) game against Oakland following their 24-20 win over Seattle on Monday.

The Chiefs are only one win away from taking top spot in the AFC West Division. Tied with Denver with a 7-3 record, a victory over the Raiders, and a Broncos loss on Sunday, will have them sitting pretty in outright first with only five games to go in the regular season. A surprise packet in 2014/2015, the Chiefs have running back Jamaal Charles to thank for a lot of their success. The former All-American has totalled 692 yards from 133 carries for eight touchdowns this season, and shows no sign of stopping.

The Raiders are having their worst start to a season in over 40 years. Winless so far this season, Oakland is on the verge of becoming only the second team in NFL history to record an imperfect season. Last week against the Chargers, they looked as though they had given up completely, managing just 220 yards the entire game. Rookie quarterback Derek Carr has tried to save the Raiders' season, posting 2075 yards and 13 TD’s in 2014/2015, but it’s his defence that continues to let him down. Ranked 27th in the league for both passing and rushing yards allowed is a big reason why they are a very slim chance of making the finals .

In the last five meetings between the two, the Raiders have come out victorious three times. However that was before QB Alex Smith showed up in Kansas in 2013. Since then, the Chiefs have posted 70 points against Oakland, including a 56-21 thumping in December last year. TattsBet punters believe Kansas can again cover the spread, with majority of the bets coming in for them at the -7 line .
