$1.4 million Saturday Gold Lotto win in Yeppoon!

Monday 17 November, 2014 - A retired man from the Yeppoon area is celebrating becoming a millionaire after winning a $1.4 million division one prize in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw! 

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he was a little overwhelmed when he discovered he was $1,434,203.41 richer after winning first division! 

“I didn’t sleep at all last night,” the winning man confessed. 

“This win is beautiful! I’m going to use my Saturday Gold Lotto windfall to buy myself a home and a new car. After that, I’m just going to enjoy my retirement!”

The winning Saturday Gold Lotto 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Cedar News, Shop 3 in Cedar Park Shopping Centre, 1 Swordfish Avenue in Yeppoon. 

Cedar News owners Jodie and Duncan McClellan were over the moon when they found out their store had sold a $1.4 million first division prize. 

“We’re just so excited! This is the first division one win for this outlet,” Mrs McClellan said. 

“We had a staff member phone us at 6am on Sunday morning to tell us the wonderful news! 

“The store has been buzzing ever since the news got around town that we sold first division on Saturday night!” 

Throughout Australia, there were three entries that won a first division share of Saturday Gold Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $1,434,203.41. Along with the winning entry purchased in Queensland, there was one each in South Australia and Victoria. 

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3477 on 15 November 2014 were 42, 9, 37, 4, 43 and 13 with the supplementary numbers of 23 and 1.
