With top spot in the NFC South Division up for grabs on Friday (AEST), both Carolina and New Orleans will need to bring their A-game.

At the moment, it's quarterback Drew Brees who is keeping the Saints' season alive. Ranked second in the League for passing yards, Brees has notched up 2,227 yards off 295 passes with 14 touchdowns. The Saints outside defensive team however are struggling to stop oppositions. Ranked second last in the League, the likes of linebacker Kasim Edebali and cornerback Keenan Lewis need to start producing. Even though New Orleans continue to drift in the futures market , Brees is doing everything he can to grab another MVP Award and TattsBet customers have noticed, with almost double the amount of bets coming in for Brees over favourite Peyton Manning .

It's a minor miracle the Panthers are sitting on top of the NFC South ladder. Ranked 17th in passing yards and 27th in rushing is not a stat you would come to expect from the Division leaders. While they came close to upsetting reigning champs Seattle last week, they have been only able to manage three wins this season. Quarterback Cam Newton is struggling to find consistency, completing just fewer than 60% of his passes and managing to pass for only 1,643 yards, almost 200 below the average. Off the back of those stats, it’s no wonder the Panthers have drifted in the futures market, heading into this game at .

In the last ten meetings between these two, the Saints have come up trumps on six occasions. However recently, it has been all the Panthers, winning three out of the last five. Running back Mark Ingram continues to benefit from Brees’ solid form and has become an early favourite to record the First TD of the game with TattsBet.
