$1 million Wednesday Lotto prize won in Warrnambool!

Thursday 23 October, 2014 - A Warrnambool family woke up $1 million richer today after winning a division one prize in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw!

The family was thrilled about the news when they spoke with a Tatts official this morning.

“It’s hard to explain, it doesn’t seem real yet, but it feels good!” one of the family members said.

“We’re going to be very careful with the prize money. We’re not wasters, and we’ve worked hard for what we’ve got. So we’ll be able to live a bit more comfortably now,” they added happily.

The winning Wednesday Lotto 6-game marked ticket was purchased from Timor St. Newsagency, 168 Timor Street in Warrnambool.

The winners have chosen to remain anonymous. Part-owner of Timor St. Newsagency Terri Kramm said she’s rapt a local family has claimed the $1 million prize.

“We’ve sold around a dozen division one lotto prizes in the 20 years I’ve been part-owner here,” Ms Kramm said.

“It seems like every two years luck strikes Warrnambool!” she laughed.

“We often ask our customers if they’d like to try a Wednesday Lotto ticket for a chance to win $1 million and we’re very happy to see that these regular customers have won the big one!”

The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto draw 3393 on Wednesday 22 October, 2014 were 16, 31, 1, 21, 26 and 38 with the supplementary numbers of 25 and 43. Along with the $1 million prize won in Victoria, a $1 million prize was also won in New South Wales and in South Australia.

Monday & Wednesday Lotto offers players a guaranteed $1 million division one prize for up to four winners every Monday and Wednesday each week.
